Last nite i got to enjoy the two items in subject consecutively. Both of them are easily available for everyday and special occassions at $7.99.
Cline 4-Whites
A blend of sauvignon blanc, viognier, palamino and gewertztraminer, this multidimensional quaff starts with a very fruit forward nose and palate, with somewhat sweet mouthfeel that ends surprisingly dry and minerally. Its good for the everyday as well as an aperitif to some big food, especially if y'all're following it with the item below.
Cline 5-Reds
A blend of zinfandel, syrah, mourvedre, carignan and grenache, this wonderfully expansive quaff stands the test time even, as it grows in flavor and character through the night with big rich foods. The palate has a great fruit forward ripeness common of zinfandel and syrah, balanced out by the dark tannins and leather of the mourvedre and carignan. Its supple viscousity coats with a lightness endemic of grenache and finishes with a lingering licorice and spice that begs for more investigation. One of my new found favorites, this will be offered for long lasting fun on the shelves at the Whip In.
