The vineyard in subject has become one of my favorites outside of Navarro of Anderson Valley CA.

Terre Rouge offers quite a large selection, but unfortunately i've only had the luck of having the below detailed:

Vin Gris d'Amador 2003
This rose is so charming and unassumming, it makes you do a double take with every sip. The chewy red berries have a light palate that brightens as it leaves with a dry & sandy finish. Quite worth it especially at only $9.99.

Syrah 2002 Les Cotes de L'ouest California
This is easily one of the finest CA syrah i've had in a long time. This juicy palate with a rich nose of dark cherries, the mouthfeel is supple and svelte, with a tang of spice or earth that connotes the terroir more than anything else, and then the toast and tannins cut thru with a great multi textured finish. The dry notes allude to the desert you crave, but you better finish that leg of lamb first! Too bad I'm drinking the last bottle ($12.99) from our shelves.

Mourvedre 2000 Sierra Foothills
This is the one that knocks my socks off, and very little is left of it at a mere $17.99. The fantastic nose of ripe dried plums leads to this vast field of flavors: truffles, dirt, cherries, cocoa/vanilla, thyme & subtle complex of spices with a note of licorice. It finishes so long and coats so well, I cry that there is so little left of it. I promise to find more after this run.

all the best,
