I just sipped the following fine quaffs a la Laura via Horizon:

Rabbit Ridge Chardonnay Paso Robles 2003: very forward nose of oaks and woodsy airs, a palate full mouth of yeasty melons and papaya finishing big like a true California chard. Excellent for the heat, and starting good meal for the night with creamy crab dip.

Leitz Dragonstone Reisling Rudersheimer Drachenstein 2003: at 8%, this sweet and easy little quaff opens with a raisin-like floral nose, an oily viscous palate with tinges of lemon and citrus. Mineral and sour finish cuts the stickiness of the entire package, making you go back for more.
